Welcome to the home page of Zonta International District 1!

Through local service and advocacy, and supporting programs globally
through the Zonta International Foundation, our members work together to
make women's equality a reality worldwide.
District 1 comprises the New England states of the US and the Atlantic
provinces of Canada. Our clubs vary in size, age profile, service focus,
and fellowship initiatives, and each has its own distinctive personality.
Members participate in club activities, as well as Area and District
meetings and conferences, and all are invited to attend the Zonta
International Convention in June or July of even-numbered years.
If you're visiting this site to learn more about Zonta in our part of the
world, you will find information on our clubs in "District 1 Clubs." If
you don't see a listing for a club near you, or you're wondering which
club might be best for you, contact Lt. Governor Nadine Salley at
info~at~zontadistrict1.org We'd especially like to hear from you if
you're interested in being part of a new club development effort!
If you're already a member of District 1, be sure to check out the
Calendar and Brochures & Newsletters sections to see what's going on now
and what's coming up. Also, visit the Resource Center for Clubs where
you'll find a lot of interesting and useful material, including a
"Members-Only" section. This section requires a login name and password,
available from your club president.
And don't forget to check out Zonta International's web page. Updated
frequently, it has the latest information about our international programs
and projects, and a wealth of other information for Zontians and for
non-Zontians alike. |
