March 8th – Zonta Rose Day & International Women’s Day

Zonta International celebrates International Women’s Day, which takes place on March 8th each year, as Zonta Rose Day. Zonta Rose Day is a time to reflect on past achievements and honor the efforts of people working towards gender equity. Zonta members around the world celebrate in a variety of ways, including: Donating to the Zonta Foundation for Women, Participating in local events, Partnering with similar organizations, Celebrating women’s achievements, and Making special donations in honor or memory of women who have empowered us.

This is also one of the four days Zonta suggests that clubs are globally aligned to increase ZI’s credibility and visibility on core issues impacting women and girls.
