International Women’s Day and Zonta Rose Day

Each March 8th, the global community celebrates International Women’s Day (IWD), recognizing women for their achievements regardless of national, ethnic, linguistic, economic or political divisions.   All Clubs are asked to plan an event with your Zonta club and invite community leaders, business owners, like-minded organizations and prospective members to attend and engage. Submit a story about your event to be featured on the Zonta International website and social media channels.

The Zonta International community also celebrates Zonta Rose Day, a time to reflect and give tribute to the women who have empowered us.
Think about a remarkable gender equity advocate in your life who consistently goes above and beyond for their community. Celebrate their successes by inviting them to speak or attend a meeting or event while showing them the benefits of a Zonta membership.

Want to honor someone special?

Follow these easy steps:
1. Go to zonta.org/donate.
2. Designate a gift amount and choose a fund.
3. Under the Honor/Memorial Tribute Information section, click the checkbox for Yes, this gift is an honor or memorial gift. Then click the checkbox for Yes, I would like to send an eCard and enter your recipient’s email address and your personal message and select your preferred eCard.
4. Enter your payment details.
5. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page to process your donation.

To have your honoree receive their tribute notification via postal mail instead of email, please submit your donation by 2 March.
