The Finance Chair’s role is to provide oversight of the financial administration of the district and to provide assistance and advice to the district treasurer and work with her to make sure that the Board is kept informed of the financial status of the district, which is especially important considering the impact of lower membership numbers.
District 1 Treasurer:

The District Treasurer manages the finances of the District and is the primary resource for Club Treasurers – ensuring they have access to training, tools, and required deadlines. The Treasurer position is critical to Zonta’s health and security.

Please click here to download ZI’s fillable Annual US Treasurer Declaration Form for you to complete, electronically sign, and return to me via email or by snail mail to 14 S Spring St., Concord, NH 03301 by Nov. 5. Your completed annual forms are then submitted by me to headquarters for their verification against IRS records and for their files.
For those of you (possibly a new treasurer), I click here to open an “example” IRS determination letter to help you locate your copy and be able to answer questions on the attached Declaration Form. The IRS determination letter will indicate your IRS status…501(c)(4) or 501(c)(3), etc.

The Treasurer’s job is critical to the health and security of the club. We appreciate your work in keeping the financial records for our members accurate and in order. Here are some helpful tips and things to know
- Check that you can access your club dashboard. See How to Manage Your Club Online.
- Know how to update member records and submit payments. See New Member Procedure /Protocol
- Complete a health check-up of your bank accounts and be sure only the correct officer names are on all accounts.
- Explore your options to transfer Foundation donations via SEPA transfer or PayPal. Did you know you can send one payment online and enter details to break out amounts for each club member in the special notes section or by sending us the information via email?
- Make sure that you have filed the appropriate papers and tax forms with your local governments.

To pay District 1 dues by check $28/pp – make payable to “Zonta International District 1” and mail to Janice Severance, District 1 Treasurer 14 South Spring St., Concord, NH 03301
Please also mail or email a copy of your updated membership roster which you can print out following payment of your ZI dues.
